Press Release - Automated Control for Wells, Upstream Pump Station Shutdown
ATLANTA, June 21,2004 -- MISSION Communications today released real time, automated RTU to RTU control for wells, upstream pump station shutdown and other “on/off” automated control applications. After extensive field testing, the feature set is now ready for incorporation into the real time M800 system. The control feature set is affected at Mission Control facilities and entails simple “on/off” control commands in response to analog or digital thresholds. The control feature set is only available in the M800 series as it incorporates end to end real time feedback.

President John Collings commented that, “the addition of full yet simple control functionality allows the MISSION product line to expand our customer base by moving more fully into serving the water side of many municipalities at unheard of price points; again with no programming. The real time software of the M800 system, Real Time Viewer, allows you to see your pumps turn on and off typically within 2 to 6 seconds of issuing a control command; state-of-the-art, end to end 128-bit AES encryption makes sure the system is not only fast, but secure as well.”

Since 1999, MISSION's core competencies have been in national public wireless data networks, Internet technologies, databases, graphical user interfaces and computer telephony. MISSION specializes in combining these technologies into “packaged SCADA” systems primarily for the water and wastewater industries. Many of MISSION's features are so advanced, or unique, they have patents or are patent pending. For more information on MISSION Communications visit the web site at: www.123mc.com.
