ATLANTA, March 30, 2003-- MISSION Communications released its M800, real time SCADA system for full commercial use along with new software to take advantage of the real time features. MISSION's new real time software, called Zetetic, incorporates many features found in today's more prominent SCADA software like WonderWare or Intellution. One fundamental difference is the Zetetic software needs no programming; another is the software is typically up and fully operational in under 30 minutes.
President John Collings noted that the Zetetic software is included in the M800 system price that includes the RTU and an all inclusive, flat rate annual service fee. "Now for the price of a dialer and a phone line, you can get a full 'always on' SCADA system for only one site or a hundred." Collings went on to say, "You can watch wet well levels and station flows with a level of accuracy not found in many full SCADA systems costing 5 times as much. It's literally like being at the station." The Zetetic software will run on any Windows based system.
Since 1999, MISSION's core competencies have been in national public wireless data networks, Internet technologies, databases, graphical user interfaces and computer telephony. MISSION specializes in combining these technologies into "packaged SCADA" systems primarily for the water and wastewater industries. Many of MISSION's features are so advanced, or unique, they have patents or are patent pending.
