Your Analyzer or A Packaged Solution
MISSION has found a new home in customers water systems, chlorine monitoring. Whether you use your own
chlorine analyzer or MISSION's, now you can have continuous monitoring with out-of-range alarms. Just
hook up the analog output from the analyzer and you are monitoring. High and low alarm thresholds are
easily programmed into the MISSION RTU. The M-100 will track the chlorine level continuously and send
a daily high/low value for EPA record keeping. If there is an alarm it gets sent immediately and processed
through the call list. The M-800 sends the current chlorine values almost continuously, allowing you a
detailed look at what's happening in the distribution system. Better still, all the historic values can
be accessed on MISSION's advanced customer web site for graphing or report preparation. MISSION can even
feed these signals to existing SCADA software like WonderWare or Intellution via its OPC link software.
If you are looking to add chlorine monitoring to wells or in a water quality project, MISSION has the most
convenient, economical solution on the market today. MISSION has partnered with a renowned German analyzer
company to offer a great packaged solution. The analyzer uses a polarographic/amperometric probe system
that requires little maintenance and calibration. The method is EPA approved. The
MISSION RTU powers the
analyzer and is battery backed up. Just hook up two wires and water and you're in business.
Track Inspections and Calibrations
MISSION has added an extra feature to help management.
MISSION's analyzer has a door switch to log when
calibrations and inspections are performed. The system logs when the analyzer is accessed for calibration
and sends before and after chlorine readings to track adjustments. This provides customers with data to
satisfy state EPA inspection requirements and allows for performance tracking. Since all
MISSION RTU's
utilize electronic key readers for access the name of the service individual is logged also. Record keeping
couldn't be easier.
Perfect For Private Systems
With ever increasing regulations on water quality, many smaller systems need to act.
MISSION's packaged
chlorine monitoring system is a great step. The system not only tracks chlorine and provides alarms but also
can perform other functions such as AC monitoring, well pump runtimes and starts, flow and pressure readings
and well production totals (if water meters are used). All this in a simple to install and use package.
Distribution System Water Quality Monitoring
Many larger water systems have begun using MISSION's packaged chlorine monitoring solution for distribution
system water quality monitoring. For these projects MISSION adds a small, reliable water pressure probe.
The analyzer and pressure probe are pre-connected on the same line, just add water. The system will then
track line pressure as well as chlorine content. High and low alarm points can be set for both values and
data can be sent on a daily or continuous basis. As always this data can be accessed on MISSION's secure web
site or fed into existing SCADA systems via MISSION's OPC software.
Self Contained and Solar Powered
The entire water quality monitoring system is contained in a small NEMA 4 enclosure, and if there is no AC
power at the monitored site the system can be solar powered. MISSION can provide a 21-watt solar panel
supply that not only powers the MISSION RTU, but the chlorine analyzer and the pressure transducer. It
just doesn't get any simpler than this.
